The demonstration: the ambiguity of the illusion of power
On one hand, there are demonstrations which take place at dates set in advance, such as May 1st and, on the other hand, marches organized to defuse a situation or ward off a threat.
Thus, each demonstration takes on the color of the prevailing political climate and expresses serenity, joy or determination depending on the immediate political perspectives.
By demonstrating, each individual has the feeling of having an impact on history; this creates an ambiguity, and it is unclear whether this ambiguity is due more to the principle that the power belongs to the largest number or to the misleading illusion of already having conquered power at the sight of so many outstretched hands.
